<b><u><span style="color: blue;">Be Encouraged Beloved</span></u></b></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
<span style="color: blue;"> We all have to go through some trying times that can really
take a toll on us. The very core of our being can seem like it is being ripped
right out of us. This is when we call on the Jesus. He is our very help in
the time of trouble. He provides what we need even when we don't know what we
need specifically. This is the time when we put the word of God in to
practice and stand on His promises. Stand on His word that we have hidden
in our hearts. When Joshua found himself between that rock and a hard
place, the Lord spoke to Him and said "No one will be able to stand
against you as long as you live. For I will be with you as I was with Moses. I
will not fail you or abandon you No one will be able to stand
against you as long as you live. For I will be with you as I was with Moses. I
will not fail you or abandon you." (Joshua 1:5 NLT).</span></div>

<div class="MsoNormal">
<span style="color: blue;"> If we believe that He is the same yesterday, today, and
tomorrow even forevermore, then what He said to Joshua He is also saying to us.
We must take God at His word and trust Him. Because He is not man that He
should lie nor the son of man that He should repent. So take courage. Believe
that He is God. Trust in Him with your heart. Follow after faith and not after
feelings. Walk by what you believe not by what you see. For we do walk by faith
and not by sight. Our hope is in the unseen not the seen. Our hope is eternal.</span></div>

<span style="color: blue;"> We will go through those rough times and it may seem as
though we are all alone: Loved ones who we expect to build us up are
the very ones who are tearing us down; When you don't even have a friend
you can trust on call on, it can be a very devastating time. But this is when
the Spirit of the LORD comes to our side although He is always at our side with
His ear incline to us. When we go through deep waters, He will be with us.
When we go through rivers of difficulty, we will not drown. When we walk
through the fire of oppression, we will not be burned up; the flames will not
consume us. (Isaiah 43:2).</span></div>

He will come and save you. (Isaiah 35:4). Therefore, wait patiently for
the LORD. Be brave and courageous. Yes, wait patiently for the LORD. (Psalm
27:14 NLT). But know that those who trust in the LORD will find new
strength. They will soar high on wings like eagles. They will run and not grow
weary. They will walk and not faint.</span></div>

My eyes are ever on the Lord, for only he will release my feet from the snare. ~Psalm 25:15</div>
<div style="background-color: white; color: #141823; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 14px; line-height: 20px;">
<br /></div>
<div style="background-color: white; color: #141823; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 14px; line-height: 20px;">
First Peter 5:8-9 lets us know that the devil walks about like a roaring lion,seeking whom he may devour. Jesus said it like this "the enemy comes but to steal, kill, and destroy". Satan has been a murderer from the beginning(John 8:44). He was the first to prefer <u>choice</u> rather than <u>life</u> and just like in the Garden he is still preaching the same message today. The devil is trying to get any and every one in his snare (net). He is trying to take captive as many as he can by his devices, and wiles. </div>
<div style="background-color: white; color: #141823; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 14px; line-height: 20px;">
<br /></div>
<div style="background-color: white; color: #141823; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 14px; line-height: 20px;">
The Bible teaches us that the devil, as he works his deception against us, personifies wiles. He is the master of wiles. He lies to us and waits to trap us, discourage us and snare us. Know that he will do anything he needs to do to weaken us and destroy us. It is his daily occupation to produce discouragement, confusion, indifference, imbalance, division and hatred among us. He knows that if he can plant these things, hopelessness can set in and we can become separated from family members and friends and even God. He is not our friend but our chief enemy. He is crafty and cunning using every satanic strategy to derail us and put us and keep us in bondage. And if we aren't careful; if we are not alert and sober, resisting him and standing firm in the faith, he will surely catch us in his snare (net). Out of which we cannot get freed by ourselves but there is deliverance that comes from and by Jesus Christ our Lord in the power of His Resurrection.<br /><br />When the devil sees an opening into our lives through emotions or mood (Eph.4:26), he tries to gain a foothold in our minds trying to get a stronghold over what we think, what we say, what we believe and what we do. What’s happening? The devil is watching; going around like a roaring lion looking for someone to attack and devour. He is our enemy (1 Peter 5:8). When we fall into certain moods or we are overcome by various kinds of emotions, the enemy steps in to defeat us; to lead us into sin. Therefore, we must control ourselves and be careful; watch as well as pray. The wiles of the devil include this cunning ability to find openings through our moods and emotions. Paul said, “‘Be angry, and do not sin:’ do not let the sun go down on your wrath, nor give place to the devil (Eph. 4:26).” When we are angry and we take that anger with us into the next day, and carry it along with us for weeks and months and years … we might as well wear a bull’s eye target. The devil will find us and seek an entrance into our heart for his evil purpose and to our downfall. Forgiveness is a key weapon in defeating the wiles of the devil. We must use the Word of God and prayer –to take a careful inventory of our moods; our emotions; the grudges and bitterness that we carry. Expel the hurt feelings we can't seem to turn loose of; the habitual, destructive thoughts we entertain. The devil can use those things to slowly erode our character; to lead us into sin to gradually teardown relationships and turn us away from God.<br /><br />"For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh: For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strongholds Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ" (2 Corinthians 10:3-5). Just like the Apostle Paul warned the Corinthians not to be ignorant of the devil's wiles; his schemes, we have to take this same advice. The wiles or schemes of the devil occur primarily in our thought life. The mind is the place where that master deceiver wage his spiritual battles. Every attack of the enemy is staged in our minds.</div>
<div style="background-color: white; color: #141823; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 14px; line-height: 20px;">
<br /></div>
<div style="background-color: white; color: #141823; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 14px; line-height: 20px;">
Therefore we must be alert and sober "For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace. Because the carnal mind is enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be " (Romans 8:6-7). Satan wants to make our mind carnal (sinful, worldly, and fleshly). God wants us to be spiritually minded. He uses the mind because it is closely tied spiritually to our heart and mouth: But those things which proceed out of the mouth come forth from the heart; and they defile the man. For out of the heart proceed evil thoughts... (Matthew 15:18-19) Satan attacks our mind because he knows our thoughts will affect the way we act: For as he thinketh in his heart, so is he... (Proverbs 23:7) And with that knowledge, he knows if he can gain control of our mind, he can control our body, our actions and if we aren't alert and sober, our spirit.</div>
<div style="background-color: white; color: #141823; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 14px; line-height: 20px;">
Deception is also part of the enemy's strategy. Seducing Spirits of Satan attack the mind to distort the truth of God's Word: Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits and doctrines of devils. (1 Timothy 4:1)He works in the mind of unbelievers to keep them from the saving grace of God's Gospel: In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them. (2 Corinthians 4:4)</div>
<div style="background-color: white; color: #141823; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 14px; line-height: 20px;">
<br /></div>
<div style="background-color: white; color: #141823; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 14px; line-height: 20px;">
His deception can cause us to become depressed: to be downcast,sad, discouraged, or in low spirit. We may experience feelings of despair,despondency, and dejection. These emotions can lead to suicidal thoughts or actual suicide because of the hopeless feelings which produces uncontrollable mental grief, sorrow, heartache, and crying. And because satan is a master of trying to snare us he tries to use our circumstances of this life to lead to despair and depression. In his craftiness,satan uses depression that is caused by the negative attitudes of those around us through which satan works. In Deuteronomy 1:28 God's people admitted, "Our brethren have discouraged our hearts." If Satan gains a stronghold over the depression and it has not been conquered it can also lead to the oppression by satanic spirits which is a deeper form of depression where the power of satan over minds are more restrictive. </div>
<div style="background-color: white; color: #141823; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 14px; line-height: 20px;">
<br /></div>
<div style="background-color: white; color: #141823; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 14px; line-height: 20px;">
Satan attacks the mind is through withdrawal. His strategy isto isolate us from family and friends and the rest of the Body of Christ.He does this by us allowing him to cause wrong attitudes towards others. Heinserts his fiery darts of envy, unforgiveness, anger, bitterness, jealousy,impatience, competition, hatred, intolerance,prejudice, judgmentalism, distrust, suspicion, low self-esteem, andself-centeredness. Also wrong attitudes of pride, self-righteousness,selfishness ego, vanity, arrogance, discontent, etc. These wrong attitudes leadto wrong emotions which are birthed from our thoughts.</div>
<div style="background-color: white; color: #141823; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 14px; line-height: 20px;">

Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the power ofHis might. Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand againstthe wiles of the devil. For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, butagainst principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness ofthis age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places. Therefore,take up the whole armor of God that you may be able to withstand in the evilday, and having done all, to stand. Stand therefore, having girded your waistwith truth, having put on the breastplate of righteousness, and having shodyour feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace; above all, taking theshield of faith with which you will be able to quench all the fiery darts ofthe wicked one. And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit,which is the word of God; praying always with all prayer and supplication inthe Spirit, being watchful to this end with all perseverance and supplicationfor all the saints,” (Eph. 6:10-18)</div>

<span style="color: #333333; font-family: "Georgia","serif";">I was reading this article
by Dr. <em><span style="border: 1pt none windowtext; padding: 0in;">Randy Kamen Gredinger</span></em>
entitled <i>The Power of Forgiveness. In his
articles, he stated that </i>Forgiveness transforms anger and hurt into healing
and peace. Forgiveness can help you overcome feelings of depression, anxiety,
and rage, as well as personal and relational conflicts.” I agree with this
100%. When I received the revelation from the Holy Spirit concerning my
unforgiveness, it totally changed my life. It did not occur to me that I had
unforgiveness in my heart. All I knew was that I was hurting, angry,
disappointed, frustrated and depressed. The
weight of these emotional burdens I was carrying around was slowly putting me
in bondage. I was being eaten up by this very dark whole. I wanted desperately to
escape. Therefore, when I got that revelation about forgiveness, I paid close
attention to my Teacher, the Holy Spirit. <o:p></o:p></span></div>
<div style="background: white; line-height: 15.75pt; margin-bottom: 11.25pt; margin-left: 0in; margin-right: 0in; margin-top: 0in; text-indent: .5in; vertical-align: baseline;">
<span style="color: #333333; font-family: "Georgia","serif";">He began dealing with me on
those moments when hurt came in from those I was close to. He showed me how
being rejected and misunderstood started taking a hold on me through offense.
Then the Holy Spirit took me to the Scriptures because forgiveness is a very
important and deliberate theme in the Bible. The Bible teaches us as Christians
to forgive as the Lord has forgiven us: Bear with each other and forgive
whatever grievances you may have against one another. Forgive as the Lord
forgave you (Colossians 3:13 NIV). My eyes were opened to the weight and the
importance of forgiveness. I knew it was something I was willing to do to be
free from this dark place I was in. But how do you forgive those that have hurt
you, disappointed you, misunderstood you, rejected you, turned their backs on
you, etc. This is an honest question. I had
to reconcile this with two factors: I needed to be free and the Bible instructs
me to forgive as I was forgiven. <o:p></o:p></span></div>
<div style="background: white; line-height: 15.75pt; margin-bottom: 11.25pt; margin-left: 0in; margin-right: 0in; margin-top: 0in; text-indent: .5in; vertical-align: baseline;">
<span style="color: #333333; font-family: "Georgia","serif";">So my journey to the
forgiving process begun by first forgiving by faith, out of obedience because
at first I didn’t necessary felt like forgiving. But through my faith in God, I
could trust Him to do the work in me that needed to be done so that this
process would be complete. I could trust God that He would complete the work of
forgiveness in His time. It was my job to forgive by faith and the work of
forgiveness in my heart was the Lord’s job to complete. And His word tells me that
if He begins a good work in me, He will finish it (Philippians 1:6).<o:p></o:p></span></div>
<div style="background: white; line-height: 15.75pt; margin-bottom: 11.25pt; margin-left: 0in; margin-right: 0in; margin-top: 0in; text-indent: .5in; vertical-align: baseline;">
<span style="color: #333333; font-family: "Georgia","serif";">How do we know the work of
forgiveness is complete? Well, I knew it was completed when I experience peace
from that heavy burden. When I decided
to forgive, I experienced a lifting of that burden. My countenance changed. I
no longer walked around with my head hung down. I could sleep at night. I could
even be around those persons without any hard feelings or discomfort. Praise
God!<o:p></o:p></span></div>
<div style="background: white; line-height: 15.75pt; margin-bottom: 11.25pt; margin-left: 0in; margin-right: 0in; margin-top: 0in; text-indent: .5in; vertical-align: baseline;">
<span style="color: #333333; font-family: "Georgia","serif";">The power of forgiveness is
a beautiful thing! It gives us the power to be release from bondage. Basically,
we are the ones who suffer the most when we choose not to forgive. We are
imprisoned but forgiveness allows the Lord to set our hearts free from the
hurt, the bitterness, the resentment, the anger, the disappointment or whatever
it may be. Now let me make this statement.
Sometimes you may have to forgive continuously because it is not always
easy depending on what happened, who caused it and how long ago it
happened. We have to continue to forgive
until it is settled in our hearts. In Matthew 18:21:22, Peter asked Jesus how
many times should he forgive his brother when he sins against him. Jesus replied,
“Up to seven times.” During those times of dealing with a longer forgiveness
process, I have found that prayer is the best way to break down that wall of
unforgiveness in the heart. Jesus, more than anyone else, understands the
brokenness of our human condition. He knows our heart better than we do. Jesus,
more than anyone else knows the need for forgiveness. He forgave tax collectors
and prostitutes. He forgave Peter for betraying Him. And on the cross, He even
forgave those who crucified Him. It was the Son’s role to die for our sins so
that we might be forgiven. It was the Father’s role to accept Jesus’ sacrifice
on our behalf and forgive us. The Holy Spirit’s role is to enable Christians to
do those things we cannot do on our own, namely forgiving others. Why? <b>Because God forgave us.<o:p></o:p></b></span></div>
<div style="background: white; line-height: 15.75pt; margin-bottom: 11.25pt; margin-left: 0in; margin-right: 0in; margin-top: 0in; text-indent: .5in; vertical-align: baseline;">
<span style="color: #333333; font-family: "Georgia","serif";">That wound cannot heal if
we refuse to forgive. It just festers into bitterness, resentment and
depression. It is for our own good and freedom that we forgive that person or
persons and trust God to heal our wounded souls so that we can reconcile and or
move on. Charles Stanley wrote in his book <u>Landmines in the Path of the
Believer: </u>“We are to forgive so that we may enjoy God’s goodness without
feeling the weight of anger burning deep within our hearts. Forgiveness does
not mean we recant the fact that what happened to us was wrong. Instead, we
roll our burdens onto the Lord and allow Him to carry them for us.” <o:p></o:p></span></div>
<div style="background: white; line-height: 15.75pt; margin-bottom: 11.25pt; margin-left: 0in; margin-right: 0in; margin-top: 0in; text-indent: .5in; vertical-align: baseline;">
<span style="color: #333333; font-family: "Georgia","serif";">God expects us to show
mercy (which means not getting what you really deserve) because He has shown us
mercy. Luke 6:36 states “Be merciful just as your Father is merciful.” It is
making that conscious decision to not hold a grudge or wait for someone to
repay you for hurting you.<o:p></o:p></span></div>
<div style="background: white; line-height: 15.75pt; margin-bottom: .0001pt; margin: 0in; text-indent: .5in; vertical-align: baseline;">
<span style="color: #333333; font-family: "Georgia","serif";">The power of forgiveness allows you to give up the suffering of
the past and move forward with inner freedom. It relieves you of overall
stress. It allows that relationship to be restored. There is hope in
forgiveness.<o:p></o:p></span></div>
<div style="background: white; line-height: 15.75pt; margin-bottom: .0001pt; margin: 0in; vertical-align: baseline;">
<br /></div>
<div style="background: white; line-height: 15.75pt; margin-bottom: .0001pt; margin: 0in; vertical-align: baseline;">
<span style="color: #333333; font-family: "Georgia","serif";"> I have to interject this thought in
this article. There are times when we are the cause of our hurts. Let me
explain. We may misunderstand or misinterpret something that someone did to you
or didn’t do to you. So it is best to let that person know how you are feeling
so the matter can be cleared up. Don’t let it just fester because the other
person may not know that you were hurt or had no intentions for you be hurt.
Also, wouldn’t you want to be forgiven? If you ever prayed the model prayer
from Matthew 6:12, it teaches us to pray “and forgive our debts or trespasses
as we also have forgiven our debtors or trespassers”.<o:p></o:p></span></div>
<div style="background: white; line-height: 15.75pt; margin-bottom: .0001pt; margin: 0in; vertical-align: baseline;">

<div style="background: white; line-height: 15.75pt; margin-bottom: 11.25pt; margin-left: 0in; margin-right: 0in; margin-top: 0in; text-indent: .5in; vertical-align: baseline;">
<span style="color: #333333; font-family: "Georgia","serif";">I leave with this quote by
Dr. Randy Kamen Gredinger <i>“Remember that
you cannot control others, but you can control your own choices. As you
continue to reshape your grievance story -- becoming the hero of that story,
developing empathy, and compassion for the abuser and celebrating your
strengths -- you will undoubtedly begin to notice a shift in your
consciousness. Your feelings of anger and sadness are likely to quiet down and
your self-esteem is likely to blossom, as will your relationships.”<o:p></o:p></i></span></div>

Often times we so are distracted by events in our lives—struggles, difficulties, and temptations—that we fail to see God. He is always there, but we don’t see Him. He is passing by and we aren’t paying attention. So we must keep our eyes on the prize and remember that God is always with us. We are as close to God as we ever will be in our earthly lives. He never abandons us, but it is we who push Him aside. We put God on the proverbial back-burner and give our attention to the the things we find more important in our lives. But what is more important than our relationship with God?<br />
We all have responsibilities—some more than others—but as we walk this journey called life, may we remain grounded in our faith. May we remain centered on He who gives us life.<br />

“When Jesus therefore had received the vinegar, he said, it
is finished: and he bowed his head, and gave up the ghost.” ~John 19:30 KJV<o:p></o:p></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
In the beginning God created everything and declared it to
be “very good” (Gen. 1:31). God’s creation was functioning the way He had
purposed them to function. So by the seventh day God finished the work he had
been doing, so he rested from all his work (Gen. 2:2).<o:p></o:p></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
But evil entered this
perfect creation when Adam and Eve chose to disobey God (Gen. 3:1-7). It is
because of this very reason God Himself prophesied “I will make you and woman
enemies to each other. Your descendants and her descendants will be enemies.
One of her descendants will crush your head, and you will bite his heel”
(Gen.3:15 NCV).<o:p></o:p></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
Because God is sovereign, He knew that Eve would be deceived
and Adam would disobey Him. So He already had a plan B in place for humanity.
In Hebrews 10:5 states: When Christ came into the world, He said: “You do not
want sacrifices and offerings but you have prepared a body for me.”<o:p></o:p></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
And that brings me to my topic “It Is Finished”. <o:p></o:p></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
By revelation knowledge from the Holy Spirit, I was taught
what this means. I know it is thought of that “It Is Finished” means that all
God has done is done. And in a sense, eternity speaking, it is true but that is
not what this portion of scripture is referring to. These three words hold in
them the end of a thing and the beginning of a thing.<o:p></o:p></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
“It Is Finished” was Jesus’ declaration of completion and
accomplishment of the work of the cross. Tetelestai, “It Is Finished”.
Proclaimed the end of Jesus’ earthly mission given by the Father (John 18:37); It
proclaimed the fulfillment of Old Testament prophecy about Jesus’ sufferings
(Gen. 3:15; Isa. 53); It proclaimed the completed work of redemption as the
sacrificial and Passover Lamb of God (John 1:29; 1 Cor. 5:7) involving blood
atonement (Eph. 1:7; Heb. 9:12, 22); It proclaimed the decisive moment of
victory over Satan and his network of demons (Col. 2:15); and it proclaimed the
achieved means of reconciliation of God with his creation and sinful humanity
(2 Cor. 5:18-19,21; Col. 1:20-22). “It Is Finished” Nothing can be added to the
finished work of the cross for salvation. In a nutshell Jesus’ cry signified
the end of his sufferings and the completion of the work of redemption. The
debt of our sin was paid in full.<o:p></o:p></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
“It Is Finished” is <u>not </u>stating that there is no need
for us to wait on God but God is waiting on us. <o:p></o:p></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
“It Is Finished” is talking about salvation in its totality
from start to finish. Jesus came and redeemed mankind for the Father. God the
Father provided for us the only acceptable sacrifice for our penalty, God the
Son, the Lamb. This was a gift from the Father to humanity. For it is by grace
you have been saved, through faith--and this is not from yourselves, it is the
gift of God—Eph. 2:8<o:p></o:p></div>

<span style="color: red;">But we have this treasure in earthen vessels that the excellence of the power may be of God and not of us. We are hard-pressed on every side, yet not crushed; we are perplexed, but not in despair; persecuted, but not forsaken; struck down,but not destroyed --always carrying about in the body the dying of the Lord Jesus, that the life of Jesus may be manifested in our body. 2 Corinthians 4:7-10</span></div>
<span><br /> As Christians, we experience struggles of some sort and of varying degrees. It may be a test, trial or even tribulation. Or even of our own makings or choices. We must continue with our eyes fixed on Jesus, the Author and Finisher of our faith. We must continue to renew our minds in the things of God as stated in Romans 12:2. We must continuously be obedient to Him. Paul said "I press towards the mark of the high calling in Christ Jesus. </span><br />
<span></span><br />
<span> Now, I do know that challenging times will come into our lives. So I am not saying it won't. But even in the midst of these waging battles of life, we must strive to keep Jesus on our minds and His praise on our lips. And above all be thankful in all things. God will never leave us nor forsake us even when we don't understand or feel as though we are in a dry place. Take advantage of that moment to strengthen your faith in Jesus.</span><br />
<span></span><br />
<span> We must put on His full armor walking in the Spirit. Fill yourselves with His power if you are low. The Lord is over all principalities and power. And in Christ we are more than conquerors but we are triumphant and overcomers. It is hard some times and we have to press in all the more but if we hold on our faith in Who we believe is our Helper, we will get through it. Roman 8:28 tells us "that all things God works for the good<sup class="crossreference" value="(<a href="#cen-NIV-28145A" title="See cross-reference A">A</a>)"> of those who love him, who have been called<sup class="crossreference" value="(<a href="#cen-NIV-28145B" title="See cross-reference B">B</a>)"> according to his purpose". </span><br />

<span class="text Jer-29-11" id="en-AMP-19647">For I know the thoughts <i>and</i> plans that I have for you, says the Lord, thoughts <i>and</i> plans for welfare <i>and </i>peace and not for evil, to give you hope in your final outcome.</span>Then you will call upon Me, and you will come and pray to Me, and I will hear <i>and</i> heed you.</div>
<div class="verse" style="margin-top: 1em;">
As we crossed over from 2013 to 2014, the Lord is right here with us. The Lord knows the thoughts and plans he has for each one of us. He wants the very best for us and that can only come from the One who created us. Ephesians 2:10 states that "we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them." It has been God's plan before the foundations of the earth to give us hope. Not a hope that is seen but a hope that is unseen.</div>
<div class="verse" style="margin-top: 1em;">
God is our Creator and we are his children. The goal is for us to call upon him and come and pray to him. He wants us to know him as our provider, not in some things but all things. Every good and perfect gift comes from the Lord. </div>
<div class="verse" style="margin-top: 1em;">
We should seek God with a teachable spirit, ready to hear and obey, and ready to be changed into the New nature. And this means that we stop clinging to the old ways but step into the newness that a new year will bring. Embrace it with faith in knowing that our Lord and Savior is fully attentive to you and I. He cares about everything that concerns us. He knows each one of us completely. What an awesome God! What a loving Father!</div>
<div class="verse" style="margin-top: 1em;">
So as we go through 2014, seek the face of God with an open mind and be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Be determined to trust God more this year. Ask for more grace to do so.</div>

<u>Look on the inside</u><o:p></o:p></div>
<br />
<span style="color: windowtext;">Your beauty should not come from
outward adornment, such as braided hair and the wearing of gold jewelry and
fine clothes. Instead, it should be that of your inner self, the unfading
beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is of great worth in God's
sight. 1 Peter 3: 3-4. Man looks at the outward appearance, but the
LORD looks at the heart. 1 Samuel 16: 7<o:p></o:p></span><br />
<div class="MsoNormal">
<br /></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
It is in our nature to look at a person's appearance before
we even know their name. As new creatures in Christ, He says to not to look at
a person's outside, but the fruit in which they bare. Galatians gives us the
fruit of the Spirit that we should all desire to have on this Christian
journey. In fact we must have them in order to become the image of Jesus. <o:p></o:p></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
<br /></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
We will not always be able to tell what a person
is really like by how they look. Nor will a person be able to tell what
we are like on the inside. There may be those who are beautiful and well
put together on the outside, but inwardly they may be very mean, selfish,
bitter and hateful on the inside. On the other hand, there are those, who
by society's standards, that may not be beautiful on the outside, but on the
inside they are loving, gentle, and kind.<o:p></o:p></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
<br /></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
Some of us spend a lot of time making sure our outward
appearance is beautiful, but don't spend the time to make sure our inside
represents a Christ-like image. And we know that what is inside will eventually
come to the outside good or bad; kindness or bitterness, it will show
up. Matthew 12:34 says that "out of the abundance of the heart the
mouth speaks." It is the heart that determines if we are good or
evil. If we can change our heart, then the outside [our actions, what we say
and do, etc.] will follow. <b><u>Goodness is not a result of our surroundings,
material belongings or our social status or our bank account or title; it is a
result of having a good heart.</u> </b>And that is what Jesus purchased at
Calvary for us that we may be born again of the Spirit and be given a new
heart, but it is up to us to let the work that Jesus did on the cross and the ministry
of the Holy Spirit manifests itself in our hearts as new creatures in Christ.<o:p></o:p></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
<br /></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
So as children of the Most High God and joint-heir of our
Savior and LORD Jesus Christ, I beseech each of us to take inventory of
ourselves. And ask God to search us and know our heart; test us and know our
anxious thoughts. Ask God to point out anything in us that offends Him and lead
us along the path of everlasting life.(Psalm 139:23-24) And let us be led by
the Spirit so that we may manifest love, joy, peace, patience, kindness,
goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. For against these is no
law. If we indeed belong to Christ Jesus as we say with our mouth and have
crucified the sinful nature [dying daily to our flesh] with its passions and
desires and we live by the Spirit, then let us keep in line with the
Spirit. (Galatians 5:22-25). <b><u>Being a witness for the Lord is not just
proclaiming the Gospel; it is also showing the Gospel.</u></b><o:p></o:p></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">

<div class="MsoNormal">
As Paul said in his letter to the Philippians (3:14),
"I press on to reach the end of the race and receive the heavenly prize
for which God, through Christ Jesus, is calling us." I also say to you my
brothers and sisters in Christ Jesus. <u>Press on to reach the end of the race

Jesus comes back, He isn't coming back for just an individual, but will be
coming back for a unified body. Therefore, as the body of Christ we must be
able to speak the truth in love so that we may grow up in all things unto Him
who is the head-Christ- from whom the whole body, joined and knit together by
what every joint supplies, according to the effective working by which every
part does its share, causes growth of the body for the edifying of itself in
love. Ephesians 4. We are to bear and share burdens. Therefore, if a person is overtaken in any trespass, we who are spiritual restore them in
a spirit of gentleness, considering ourselves lest we also be tempted.
Galatians 6. We are to value one another. Two is better than one. If one falls the other can
help him up. One is overpowered by another, but two can withstand him. and a
threefold cord is not easily broken. Ecclesiastes 4.<span style="font-size: 8.5pt;"><o:p></o:p></span></span></div>

<b>The
Battle is Not Yours, But God's </b><o:p></o:p></div>
<br />
<div class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0in 0in 0pt; mso-margin-bottom-alt: auto; mso-margin-top-alt: auto;">
2
Chronicles 20:1-29<o:p></o:p></div>
<br />
<div class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0in 0in 0pt; mso-margin-bottom-alt: auto; mso-margin-top-alt: auto;">
They
that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength....<o:p></o:p></div>
<br />
<div class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0in 0in 0pt; mso-margin-bottom-alt: auto; mso-margin-top-alt: auto;">
Have
you ever been up against something that wasn't your battle although it was
happening against you? When we realize which battles we are to fight and which
battle only God the Lord of host can fight, it is then we will be victorious.<o:p></o:p></div>
<br />
<div class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0in 0in 0pt; mso-margin-bottom-alt: auto; mso-margin-top-alt: auto;">
I
have to take the example from Jehoshaphat. He sought the LORD for help. Second
Chronicles 20:4-6 states: "So Judah gathered together to seek help from
the LORD; they even came from all the cities of Judah to seek the LORD. Then
Jehoshaphat stood in the assembly of Judah and Jerusalem, in the house of the
LORD before the new court, and he said, 'O LORD, the God of our fathers, are
You not God in the heavens? And are You not ruler over all the kingdoms of the
nations? Power and might are in Your hand so that no one can stand against
You.'" (2 Chronicles 20:4-6).<o:p></o:p></div>
<br />
<div class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0in 0in 0pt; mso-margin-bottom-alt: auto; mso-margin-top-alt: auto;">
When
there are battles that are being fought against you, go stand before the LORD
God and pray. Humble yourself and realize it is not by your might or your says
the LORD but by my Spirit you shall have victory.<o:p></o:p></div>
<br />
<div class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0in 0in 0pt; mso-margin-bottom-alt: auto; mso-margin-top-alt: auto;">
When
it seems as though it is impossible to you and it looks like you are losing,
God is the God of impossibility and nothing is too hard for Him. No foe to
mightier than Him, He is never caught off guard or taken by surprise. With the
LORD of Host on your side, it is more than the whole world against you. Know
that God is the only One who will make a difference.<o:p></o:p></div>
<br />
<div class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0in 0in 0pt; mso-margin-bottom-alt: auto; mso-margin-top-alt: auto;">
Pray
and let the LORD answer you as He did with Jehoshaphat. He spoke through the
prophet Jahaziel. "...and he said, "Listen, all Judah and the inhabitants
of Jerusalem and King Jehoshaphat: thus says the LORD to you, "Do not fear
or be dismayed because of this great multitude, for the battle is not yours but
God's." (2 Chronicles 20:15). We have to realize that God can and will
send you a word through a messenger. Don't limit God by saying, "God can
speak to me, He don't need to send me a word through no one else." Because
He is Sovereign He can choose to communicate any way He chooses. It is up to us
to have faith in Him and trust what He is doing and saying. Get to know the
voice of the Lord. He says in the book of John" My sheep hears my voice
and follows me."<o:p></o:p></div>
<br />
<div class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0in 0in 0pt; mso-margin-bottom-alt: auto; mso-margin-top-alt: auto;">
It
has to be the LORD's way; His battle only or all is lost. Now our part is to
"stand and see the salvation of the LORD on our behalf. Do not fear or be
dismayed." I speak to myself. I encourage myself in the LORD. He is my
refuge and my strength. Know that the LORD is in your tomorrow for He with you
always (2 Chronicles 20:17). We have to stand and face our enemy while the LORD
of Host fights the battle for us and we will surely be given the victory. I am
trusting in the LORD to give me the victory. I stand in the face of my
circumstances and my situations and know that God is fighting for me. And I
will have the victory.<o:p></o:p></div>
<br />
<div class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0in 0in 0pt; mso-margin-bottom-alt: auto; mso-margin-top-alt: auto;">
"Do
you not know? Have you not heard? The Everlasting God, the LORD, the Creator of
the ends of the earth Does not become weary or tired. His understanding is
inscrutable. He gives strength to the weary, And to him who lacks might He
increases power. Though youths grow weary and tired, And vigorous young men
stumble badly, Yet those who wait for the LORD Will gain new strength; They
will mount up with wings like eagles, They will run and not get tired, They
will walk and not become weary. (Isaiah 40:28-31) When We Fully Place Our
Confidence in God; our confidence in the Lord God Almighty who created heaven
and earth all things are made possible to them that believe. (Matthew
19:25-26). He is God who is able to know our very needs even beyond what are
limited knowledge can reveal. I thank God is not limited by our lack of
knowledge, wisdom, creativity, imagination, power or vision as we are. <b>I am
victorious</b> (1 Corinthians 15:57)<o:p></o:p></div>
<br />
<div class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0in 0in 0pt; mso-margin-bottom-alt: auto; mso-margin-top-alt: auto;">

ahead pray, praise God and walk in your victory! Amen!</div>

(Philippians 4:13) <br />I am complete in Christ Jesus. (Colossians 2:10) <br /><br /> These are just a few of the confession I make. And these confessions are for all who are in Christ Jesus. I don't know about you but I choose to believe the report of the Lord instead of what lies the enemy tries to throw at me.<br /> I have heard various individual clam that they are not "worthy" and I wonder if they are really in Christ Jesus or just haven't believed what God says about them. There is no way someone unworthy can be in Christ Jesus. I want to ask those persons, "Who told you that you are unworthy?" In our own self-righteousness, we are but filthy rags (Isa. 64:6). But when we are born again, we are a new creation in Christ Jesus and you are no longer a sinner. We were sinners BUT because of the blood of the Lamb we have been washed, sanctified and justified (Just as if I never sinned).<br /> If saying one is "unworthy" is an attempt at being humble, this would be false humility. Because God sees us valuable enough to send His only begotten Son to die for our sins that we might be reconciled back to Him. If one still insists in calling themselves "unworthy" then what are you "unworthy" of?<br /><div class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: 0.0001pt;">

<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif; font-size: xx-small; mso-fareast-font-family: "Times New Roman";">"</span>But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us." Romans 5:8<br /><br />The definition of unworthy is insufficient in worth; undeserving, lacking value or merit; worthless - So are you really saying you are worthless? God's Word says otherwise.<br /><br />I, therefore, the prisoner of the Lord, beseech you to walk worthy of the calling with which you were called (Ephesians 4:1)</div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: 0.0001pt;">
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif; font-size: xx-small; mso-fareast-font-family: "Times New Roman";"><span style="font-size: x-small;"><b><br /></b></span></span>
..that you may walk worthy of the Lord, fully pleasing (Him), being fruitful in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God (Colossians 1:10)</div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: 0.0001pt;">
<br /> ...that you would walk worthy of God who calls you into His own kingdom and glory. (1 Thessalonians 2:12)<br /><br />Look at the birds of the air, for they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they? (Matthew 6:26-30)<br /><br />Your eyes saw my substance, being yet unformed. And in Your book they all were written, The days fashioned for me, When as yet there were none of them. How precious also are Your thoughts to me, O God! How great is the sum of them! If I should count them; they would be more in number than the sand;<br />(Psalm 139:16-18)<br /><br /> That is right. God does think about us. We are worthy of His thoughts. Start seeing yourself as God sees you. If you are a believer, You are worthy because Jesus has made you worthy by what He did on the cross.<br /><br />In God's Hands & God's Service,<br /><br />Mary J. Bryant</div>
