Food For Thought and Consideration

We live in this world, but not of the world. When we are born-again of the Spirit of God, we are born from above. We are spirit that has a soul and lives in a body. And when we are born from above, we are to set our mind on things above. We are to have the mind of Christ. Apostle Paul said “Let this mind be in me that is also in Christ Jesus.”  The author of 1 John wrote in chapter 2 and verse 15 that we are not to love the world or the things in the world because if we do, then the love of the Father is not in him.

Please understand that I know that we get frustrated. We get discouraged. We get sick. We get tempted. We get angry. Living in this state, we are exposed to these and more but this is when we take the opportunity to grow in the grace of the Lord. The bible states that there is no temptation given to man that is uncommon. God gives us a way to escape every temptation.

Excuses are made by some and others criticize those who try to live a renewed life of transformation in Christ. These excuses and criticisms do not change God’s standards or His word. God is holy, just and merciful. He wants us to depend on Him through the day. He wants us to develop our trust in Him and Him alone. As children of the Most High God, we are expected to depend on Him continually, trusting Him to guide us and strengthen us as needed by grace. Jesus said that we are to take up our cross daily for He provides us our daily bread. But we have to receive our daily and live by faith.

My question is how we can accept the trials and tribulations in our lives more than the anointing of the Holy Spirit? Some put more trust in their problems or troubles then they do in God’s help. It is the anointing that breaks and destroys the yoke. This Gospel is the power unto salvation but we have to believe that through Jesus we are overcomers. We are more than conquers. We are triumphant in Christ Jesus. Because He got up by the resurrection power of God, we also have that same resurrection power. We can submit to God and resist the devil. If you resist him, the devil will flee from you. It is in the word of God and I believe what God says.

Grace and Peace,
