Be Encouraged Beloved

Be Encouraged Beloved
We all have to go through some trying times that can really take a toll on us. The very core of our being can seem like it is being ripped right out of us. This is when we call on the Jesus. He is our very help in the time of trouble. He provides what we need even when we don't know what we need specifically. This is the time when we put the word of God in to practice and stand on His promises. Stand on His word that we have hidden in our hearts. When Joshua found himself between that rock and a hard place, the Lord spoke to Him and said "No one will be able to stand against you as long as you live. For I will be with you as I was with Moses. I will not fail you or abandon you  No one will be able to stand against you as long as you live. For I will be with you as I was with Moses. I will not fail you or abandon you." (Joshua 1:5 NLT).

If we believe that He is the same yesterday, today, and tomorrow even forevermore, then what He said to Joshua He is also saying to us. We must take God at His word and trust Him. Because He is not man that He should lie nor the son of man that He should repent. So take courage. Believe that He is God. Trust in Him with your heart. Follow after faith and not after feelings. Walk by what you believe not by what you see. For we do walk by faith and not by sight. Our hope is in the unseen not the seen. Our hope is eternal.

We will go through those rough times and it may seem as though we are all alone: Loved ones who we expect to build us up are the very ones who are tearing us down; When you don't even have a friend you can trust on call on, it can be a very devastating time. But this is when the Spirit of the LORD comes to our side although He is always at our side with His ear incline to us. When we go through deep waters, He will be with us. When we go through rivers of difficulty, we will not drown. When we walk through the fire of oppression, we will not be burned up; the flames will not consume us. (Isaiah 43:2).

So I encourage all of you today. Be strong, fear not: behold, your God will come [with] vengeance, [even] God [with] a recompense ; He will come and save you. (Isaiah 35:4). Therefore, wait patiently for the LORD. Be brave and courageous. Yes, wait patiently for the LORD. (Psalm 27:14 NLT).  But know that those who trust in the LORD will find new strength. They will soar high on wings like eagles. They will run and not grow weary. They will walk and not faint.

I leave with you the lyrics to the late Walter Hawkins Wait on the Lord
You may get weary,
And feel like your change may never come,
But don't be dishearten,
For impatience, possess ye your soul,
So wait on the Lord, my friend
and be of good courage
If you wait, God will renew your strength,
Wait on the Lord and be of good courage.

I have said these things to YOU that by means of me YOU may have peace. In the world YOU are having tribulation, but take courage! I have conquered the world.” - John 16:33

Grace in Abundance,
Mary J. Bryant
